What we do:

Our patented UnPET process results in a chemically super cleaned chip, which reduces costs, time and emissions. This makes recycling a more attractive and a cost effective option for most companies.

We also purchase PET bales from curbside recycling programs throughout North America.  Bottles are optically sorted and ground into flakes.  Unwashed flakes are then cold water washed and then processed through our patented technology to produce an FDA quality clean chip.  These chips are then sent to food packaging customers.

In an ideal world, every bottle used in PET packaging would be recycled and used again.  We’re trying hard to make that a reality.

In 2007, the Coca-Cola Company announced that they would partner with the United Resource Recovery Corporations to build the world’s largest bottle to bottle recycling plant: called NURRC, LLC.

Millions of dollars in capital have been invested to expand the existing pilot plant from 10 million pounds of food-grade post consumer chip to over 100 million pounds. That means we can recycle almost 2 billion bottles here each year in Spartanburg, S.C.
